CHB passed the accreditation of national laboratory

In April 2008, CHB received the certificate issued by China National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (CNAL). In addition to the original “CNAS” mark, it also has the “ILAC-MRA” mutual recognition mark (as shown in the picture).

   ILAC is the abbreviation of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation which was established in 1996 and its mission is to promote international trade and establish international cooperation by improving the acceptance of inspection and calibration results provided by approved laboratories. Its constitution is to create a mutual recognized agreement network among certification organizations that can reelect the mission. CNAL signed “ILAC-MRA” (ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement) with ILAC on January 31, 2001, and was authorized by ILAC to use ILAC-MRA mark in January 2005, which indicates that the inspection laboratories approved by CNAL can use CNAL mark as well as ILAC-MR mark to provide test reports.

    ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement creates trust among laboratory certification organizations and their trust in the competence in laboratory certification, which helps different countries get test and calibration results provided by approved laboratories and reduce the trade technical barrier in certain fields finally. ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement has established base for the objective of one inspection recognized by the world.

 The mission of International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation:

1.       Provide international forum on laboratory accreditation and accreditation system information, promoting the information dissemination;

2.       Encourage mutual acceptance of inspection reports provided by approved laboratories through implementing the bilateral or multilateral agreements signed by laboratory accreditation organizations;

3.       Encourage the cooperation among the laboratory accreditation organizations in different areas to avoid unnecessary repeated review.
